This is a bizarre and beautiful country. As a part of France, you still have access to baguettes and brie, but have the option of eating them on the Caribbean coast or in rainforest. As soon as you arrive, take a look at a roadmap. It will be almost entirely green. Most roads are restricted to the coastal area, leaving the rest of the country to the rainforest. Access by boat or air. Even from the capital, Cayenne, you need drive for only half an hour to be in forest. And perhaps that's what you need to be there for.
