Advantages: quiet beaches, friendly people, cheap shopping
Disadvantages: hassled by hawkers
My boyfriend and I have just returned from a two week holiday to South Goa. We had a truly AMAZING time! Staying at the Dona Sylvia hotel on an all-inclusive basis. We were both a little apprehensive as package holidays are not our 'thing'. However, we had the best two weeks ever. South Goa is the quieter and more relaxed part of Goa. Whilst the north is touristy and full of the night life...the south is laid back and relaxing. Cavelossium beach stretched for miles and miles (the longest unbroken stretch of beach in the whole of Asia!). And after leaving the few beach shacks by our hotel we were all alone on what seemed like 'paradise' beach! The people were so friendly and helpful; both inside and outside the hotel. The food was delicious and the shopping even better! We went all-inclusive. But WHEN we go back we might go 'bed and breakfast' as eating out is so cheap (Never more than £15 for the two of us). Anjuna Market is a must see. It's amazing how huge and busy it is...and also how CHEAP everything is! The sunsets were devine, the beach was idyllic and the warm sun on our faces was pure bliss.

- 02/04/02 Welcome to Dooyoo. Sounds like you had a lovely time, please tell us some more! This isn't a bad first opinion by any means, but like most it's rather short. I'm sure there's *so* much you could write.
Read around a bit to see what others are like. It's quite fun too you know (read what you're interesting in - have a look for the next holiday location). Check the advice section on the left of your profile for handy hints too.
