Puerto Rico is the place to stay on the lovely island of Gran Canaria. Although the price of the holiday may be slightly more expensive thatn some other places, the prices when you get there will be considerably cheaper. Puerto Rico lies in a valley. Down the middle of the valley is a huge two storey complex which has over 300 shops, restaurants and bars. This is the reason for everything being so cheap, as all the businesses are competeing with each other. A 3 cours meal for less than a fiver! Can't beat that. Once you leave the complex, there is a water park at one end, and the beach at the other. In between, there is a park, crazy golf, smaller shops and yet more eateries and bars. The hotels and apartements are up each side of the valley. Some are very high up, but a taxi down to the main complex is only about a pound. There is plenty to do for all the family, and it is about 85 degrees average all year round. Although in the summer months it can hit the hundreds. I would recommend Puerto Rico to most, although it may be difficult for the disabled with everthing being on the side of hill.
