What a place! If you are looking for a beautiful and hot holiday then Gran Canaria IS the place to go!
Situated just off of the west coast of Africa, Gran Canaria, to me, is a lovely island and has a wonderful atmosphere.
Me and 2 mates went there last June for 2 weeks, we had such an amazing time there. We stayed in the town of Playa Des Ingles on the south coast of the island. The accomodation is great and supply a great range of food, half board is good to choose because you get your breakfast and evening meal included, the food ranges from delicious spanish food to good old plain English. Not keen? then there are plenty of food restaurants to choose from, including pizza places, they are very nice I must admit.
If you're young like me, then go into town for a great night out, there are plenty of clubs and bars to choose from including CREME.
Luckily for me, the majority of people in Gran Canaria do actually speak English. If you look to go out on any day trips, you gotta go on the Jeep Safari, its a great laugh, but do be warned, take lots of water to drink, and be prepared to get filthy by the off road dirt track dust! so you dont wanna be wearing your best clothes.
A great day out for all the family.
Hotels supply great entertainment for the kids if you wanna stay local for the evening.
My advice for all you holiday goers. GRAN CANARIA!!!!!!
The temperatures that time of year are wonderful, they reached 38-40 degrees!!! take lots of sun lotion.
