HawaiiNewest Review: ... and my friends wanted to see a volcano, its probably one of the reasons we were attracted to Hawaii as we had heard the volcano tours were both exciting. Our first visit was to the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, which a staff member at our resort had told us about. The park is about a 45 minute drive through highway 11, however there are tour buses and guides that will take you their. We ... more |

Will this will be my last review of my time in and around America, for those who have catched a few of my reviews, you will now ive had quite an exciting time during my stay, and what a way to end my review, by talking about my last stop before returning to good old London. My last stop on this amazing journey was Hawaii; I had been meaning to visit it many times, but never really got the chance. I always thought of Hawaii as a calm, relaxing and down to earth place, and with no misconception it is, its such a tranquil place, however its also exciting, theirs so much to do and in particular see, which is why this place is such a brilliant place to stay. My review will go ... Read the complete review

Aloha! If you've never visited Hawaii, you are in for a treat. It takes a few days, but after that time, the rest of the world seems to fade away. Of Hawaii's six major islands (Oahu, Maui, Kauai, Hawaii, Molikii, and Lania), I have stayed on three of them and visited one other. Oahu contains 90% of the population of the Islands. It is crowded, overbuilt, and a lot like L.A., if L.A. were on an island (which may be possible after the big one hits). But it is also the least expensive island to visit, has some great values, and contains the Polynesian Cultural Center, which is a must see for anyone going to Hawaii. Going to the Polynesian ... Hawaii the big island ................... THE BIG ISLAND'S ATTRACTIONS... VOLCANOES. One of the more dramatic sights of your holiday is sure to be continual lava flows of Kilauea, inching gradually into the ocean. Perched on the slopes of Mauna Loa, Kilauea-Whose name means 'much spewing'-has been erupting constantly since 1983, and looks in no hurry to stop. You will have the opportunity to admire this natural phenomenon up close in the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. You're also sure to hear the legend of Pele, the fire goddess, said to have made her home in the crater of Kilauea and to manifest herself as molten lava. ... Read the complete review

I went to Hawaii and stayed in Waikiki which is the tourist area of the main island. Its about a 20 minutes transfer from Honolulu airport to Waikiki and cost about USD25 for a private transfer in a towncar(A posh taxi).Travel is easy around the island by bus.All journeys cost 1 dollar.Make sure you have a 1 dollar note as they dont give change.Bus guides can be bought in the Seven to eleven corner shops for 5 dollars. The number 13 (CHECK BEFORE HAND) is a useful bus running from Waikiki to Pearl Harbour , you have to visit the HSS MISSOURI where so many brave men lost there lives.Admission is free (make sure you pick up a ticket on entry and dont loose it!!)but donations ... Hawaii is an expensive paradise. I stayed in Honolulu. It was really good that I made it here, when I think of Hawaii, I think of Elvis for some strange reason and I haven't an idea why. Driving around the island doesn't take you very long and the sights are just absolutely breath taking. The food is great, I went for the fruit salad for breakfast and they really know how to serve, you get a plate of food instead of a dish! The beaches are often full though, the water is warmed and the beach goes down quite rapidly, so parental supervision all the time with children. The stalls on the main street are great, I was told they ... Read the complete review
