It's true what they say about Texas, "everything is bigger and better in Texas" and it's that brash attitude that puts many people off going to visit but I have been a few times now and absolutely loved it. My American cousins had moved from California to Houston so a few years ago I decided to go and visit them. I took an internal flight from California so flew into Houston Hobby airport. There are two airports in Houston, the other being George Bush Intercontinental Airport which deals with the bigger flights. So you have just found out that you are going to Houston, Texas and thinking about things to see. What comes to mind…cowboys, tumbleweeds and prairie? Think again. As the fourth largest city in the United States, Houston has a great diversity of offerings, including a world-renowned Medical Center, museums, performance arts, formal gardens, restaurants, research facilities, and theme parks. I have enjoyed traveling throughout this city, and have taken great delight in old-favorite "haunts" and the seemingly never-ending variety of new adventures to be found. If you are interested in the USA Space Program, forget about Cape Canaveral in Florida and head for Houston, Texas. In here you can visit the Johnson Space Center, the brains behind the dazzling missions that blast off from Florida. I recently visited the updated Space Center and I really liked it. I have also been to Cape Canaveral in Florida and done the tours, so it is a nice complement to get to see the place where the astronauts live and train, as well as the actual Mission Control.
