Muffin_the_Mule Sri Lanka: ... you ever wonder if there was a scale of importance when it comes to where you keep your history? With Overheard History somewhere near the bottom, those hearts carved in trees by 70 s teenage lovers somewhere around the middle and Written History way up top, I knew from the fourth time I was told of Sri Lanka s 2300 unbroken years of Written History that when I got home the first thing I d be doing is getti...

Colombo Colombo
National Park International / city in western Sri Lanka and a major port near the mouth of the Kelani River. The commercial capital of Sri Lanka, Colombo is the largest city in the country and owes its importance largely to its great breakwaters, which give shelter to a large, artificially created harbour.

diamond_sparkles Port Louis
... is the capital of Mauritius, the busiest city where everything happens! I visited or passed through Port Louis several times during my stay in Mauritius. This is the place where the main offices, buildings, centers and banks are found. The harbor and cargo delivery, as well as overseas parcel delivery buildings are also located at Port-Louis. It is quite easily the most important city of Mauritius. It is furthermore one of the major tourist spot. Here are a few tourist attractions of Port-Louis: The Caudan Waterfront: Like I mentioned in another review, Le Caudan Waterfront is simply a very large open-air mall. It includes three cinema halls, a wine and sush...

... in the vast Indian Ocean, upon the Northern side of the Tropic of Capricorn lies a tiny, sun-kissed volcanic island that has marked its place among the world s favourite romantic destination. The Republic of Mauritius is legendary for the white beaches, blue lagoons, lush greenery, wide spreads of sugar cane fields, and wonderful flea markets. In brief, this is the ultimate holiday destination for every age and tastes. Whether it is a romantic get-away you are looking for, or wonderful mountain air, or even wonderful bargains on tons of pretty stuff, this is the one place you will get it all. The reason why I am sounding like an over-enthusiastic TV advert is beca...

... lanka I loved Sri Lanka especially after going to Goa the year before, if it s a choice between the two Sri Lanka Would win hands down. We arrived in the early morning about 6am, the airport is beautiful and the walk to bus under the flower draped pergola was fantastic. The porters at the airport just beware they are very greedy and to move your bag from the side of the bus into the luggage compartment expect a pound and will get on the bus until you pay. Some of the hotels are nearly 3 hours from the airport so be careful when booking, ours was only 30 minutes we stayed at the club hotel dolphin. The beaches are fantastic they are the strangest colour I have seen, ...
