The beach here is very similar to the one on the Portuguese island. although you only get two hours there it is still enough time to swim, read and take a nap. I would not advise going all the way to Southern Africa just to go to Inhaca Island, as it is such a long journey. I would rather recommend building it into a trip including the Kruger National Park and Kwazulu Natal. ... more

Inhaca is a small tropical island off the Mozambique coast. On the island there is a medium sized hotel and a small village. You can either get to Inhaca by plane, which leaves daily from Maputo Airport, or by boat, which leaves throughout the day from the port. I personally chose the boat, which takes about 45 minutes each way. although quite a rough journey we were luckey enough to see dolphins on our way across. The rooms in the hotel are semi-detached chalets with a small patio on the back of them. The hotel also has a saltwater pool, although very good, you will rarely use. the food is of a very high standard with a different buffet every night. ... Read the complete review
