The provincial capital of North Jeolla Province(Jeolla-Buk Do), Jeonju is an attractive city of just over 600000 inhabitants which has managed to preserve its traditional heart. There's not enough in the city to hold your attention for too long, but there is enough both in Jeonju itself and in the surrounding areas to warrant a couple of days of your time. GETTING THERE The nearest commercial airport is located in Kunsan(flights to Jeju and Seoul's Kimpo airport).
