Johor Bahru ... capital of Johor in southern Malaysia. It is one of the largest cities in Malaysia. With a population of approximately 876,000 in the city, 1.73 million in the metropolitan area and 5.49 million in the Singapore-Johor Bahru conurbation ([1]), the city is an important industrial, tourism and commercial hub for southern Malaysia and is part of one of Southeast Asia's most populous urban areas. The population growth rate of Johor Bahru is also among the highest in Malaysia. Tourism is a significant contributor to the city's economy, as it receives 60% of the country's annual 16 million foreign tourists via its bridges and road links to Singapore. All that said I never had any problem and it didnt stop me going looking for snake charmers in the Indian area of the city, unfortunately I ...  Read the complete review

This magnificient city is located at the southern tip of the Peninsular Malaysia and across the small stretch of sea is Singapore Island. It is connected to this city via a bridge, known as the Causeway. Being at the border with Singapore, it has attracted lots of Singaporean to this city. The reason is becasue things are cheaper in Malaysia and most Singaporeans throng to Johor Bahru in search of the excellent and cheap sea food cuisines. There is plenty of restaurants mushrooming all over the city offering some of the excellent sea food menus. That is what Johor Bahru is famed for, the excellent local food. Apart from that, shopping is excellent with many huge shopping ...  Read the complete review
