Kabul ... population of about 3 million people. It is an economic and cultural center, situated 5,900 feet (1,800 metres) above-sea-level in a narrow valley, wedged between the Hindu Kush mountains along the Kabul River. Kabul is linked with Ghazni, Kandahar, Herat and Mazari Sharif via a long beltway (circular highway) that stretches across Afghanistan. It is also linked by highways with Pakistan to the southeast and Tajikistan to the north.

I was looking for some action, as the song goes. In fact I was seeking inspiration for my next effort on dooyoo. My car? Nah, I haven't opened the bonnet. Er...so I gave up for a while until BANG! it hit me between the eyes. Browsing the Sunday Times I came across an astonishing article. Two UK travel agents are offering sightseeing tours to wartorn Afghanistan. They plan future jaunts to Axis of Evil countries - Iran, Iraq, North Korea. Can you imagine the tour bus. A stunning site/sight Getting there, it is a bit out of the way, and waiting for 6 people to change a tyre on your ride can be quite boring on the journey back to Puri.
