Advantages: Small, friendly,great for groups of young people

OK......i always read reviews before i go anywhere on holiday as i like to have an idea of what i am gonna get. Everything you are about to read is the absolute truth as i saw it!!
I went to Kavos with 4 girlies on the 5th June 2009. On arrival the town looked grubby and dirty and appeared to be only one street covered in bars. As we were on an 18-30 hol this was gr8 for us but i would not reccommend this resort for families!!
We got shown to our hotel, the afrodite apartments by our rep and it became apparent that we had chosen well. The hotel was clean, friendly with a gorgeous pool area and pool bar. The staff were all brilliant especially our rep Lewis who looked after us and was always around!! They do however charge 2 euros for a sun bed by the pool every day but you get a free bottle of water with this.
What i would say if you are going on an 18-30 holiday is that they do give you the hard sell!! We arrived at 7am and had our welcome talk straight away where lewis proceeded to try and sell us all the entertainment package for the week. This cost 190 euros each and as we were so tired we ended up paying for it, just to get him out of our room!!
Im not entirely sure it was worth it but the boat trip is definitely worth doing, as is the water park and on the last night a silent disco. I wasn't even up for doing the silent disco but it was so professionally done that it ended up being the best night of the whole holiday!!! Such a laugh!!
We had a wkd time and i would definitely go back to kavos. The main strip can be quite annoying with every bar having roughly 3 PR's outside trying to get you in, but haggle with them to get some really good offers on free shots etc!!
I took 500 euros and it wasnt really enough. The resort is quite expensive and drinks are usually 5 euros a pop. Food is roughly 8 euros for a meal. I would definitely reccommend desperados if you are looking for good value and brilliant mexican/american food!! Brilliant!!

Summary: Definitely worth a visit!!!!
