Advantages: Lively.

Disadvantages: Noisey, dirty.

I went to Kavos on a club 18-30s holiday and it really was a holiday to remember for good and bad reasons.

We had booked it looking for a lively place, where there was plenty to do at night, but also pretty scenic things to do in the day. We definitely got the lively part. We stayed in a hotel on the main strip, nievety made us think it would not be too noisey, but it definitely was. We got drunk most nights and learnt to sleep all day by the pool, when we could so that we could stay up all night. There was no way you could sleep until about 5 in the morning as it was so noisey.

Our hotel room was cleaned every day and was so basic that it really could not get messy or dirty. The pool though was a different story, each day the owner just seemed to top it up with loads more chlorine, which did not smell nice and was not good for us. We got plenty of gnat bites and both came back with impetigo. The doctors back home were shocked with how bad we got it, and blamed it on staying in a very dirty place.

Scenery wise, the beach was disgusting, covered in litter, so no good there, and without renting a car we could not see any pretty areas of the island so that was a little dissappointing.

Overall, it really depends what sort of holiday you are after as to whether you will enjoy Kavos. If you are not worried about dirt or noise and want a clubbing holiday then this is definitely for you. If you are after something a bit different then try another part of the island, as Im sure it has much more to offer.
