I went o kavos in sumer 2002 for a week with club freestyle and i absolutely loved it! so much so that i am going back for 2 weeks this year!

We arrived in kavos on a sunday night after having been flying for 3 1/2 hours and been travelling on the coach for what we were told would be and hour and a half, but turned out to be 4 and a half hours. What first struck us when we arrived there wasthe smell. As kavos is so close to the coast of albania, all the sewage pumped into the see just stays there and it smells, but after a day or so, you cant smell it, or maybe that was the alcohol(!)

We stayed in the chrysta studios, which were very nice, down a quiet side street opposite mcdonalds, right off the main strip! our balcony looked out over a little lemon grove, it was lovely!

In kavos there are many good p[lace to eat, namely, the rooftop, above 1 of the main clubs (futures) pizza corner, the best pizza i have ever tasted, and various other places. But i strongle reccomend that yu do not eat in the village taverna of the british restuarant, because i got food poisoning from one of those places!

During the day, there are quite afew things to do, the trips organised by you holiday comapny are usually god, but you can get them cheaper off the shops in kavos. In Corfu, the waterpark is a must, only go on boat trips if your prepared to have ouzo (yuk!) pouredin your mouth, be covered in se water by the drivers, and be covered i shaving foam!

Other thanthat, in kavos there are video bars, which play the latest pirate films and tv sitcoms all day long, bars serving drinks 24 hours, sports on the beach, or as we did, jus sleep! if you want to go swimming, go to the 'BIG BLUE' pool up by the forum bar, as you have to pay 2 euros for as sunbed for ll day long, and he money is used to maintain the pool so it is a lot cleaner than all the hotel pools, and it has a lifeguard, and a bar!

During the night, kavos gets go
inat about 11 pm, which is quite late, but gives you loads of time to get ready! Once on the strip, you will be bombarded ith PRS's trying o het you into their bar, some sng brute tactics such as picking you up and taking you in! Good bars include Snobs, london bar if your into garage, 42nd street, roadbock, firebar and jcs!

In kavos, the bars will rip you off for bottles, and instead offer various discounts on drinks which seems fantastic on the first night. First of all, you try the 5 for the price of 1, but it ost you 10 euros, and th spirits are cheap and nasty, and they use meths in the cocktails, which is poisonous! In the end i drunk archers and lemonade and my mate drunk baileys as these are theonly genuine spirits you can get! oh and if ou chat the bar man up in the back of drash bar, he wil gibe you proper smirnoff ice and smirnoff vodkas!

There are 4 main clubs in kavos;

venue- the first one down the strip, bit run down inside, but nice out front, they hold the mr wet calvin kleins, and the ms wet tshirt comps!

Futures-good, nice inside, has podiums and you can dance on the bar! backs onto atlantis beach bar which is open 24-7. All the main names play here during peak season

Limelight- didnt go there as we got lost (long story!) but apparantly its good, names also play here and also has a beach bar called lazy waves, which has a pool!?!

S'ex-this is the only one you have to pay for as it is a foam party, i never went in here either, but from what i ca tell, not many people did, every one goes to its beach bar which is called 's'ex on the beach' or more recently 'after'! Which has sunloungers and a bonfire, where you can watch the sun come up! great!

If you go, i recommend that you DO;

watch the sun com up,
get some sleep!
go to the water park,avoid the prs,
take travellers checks,
go to www.greeceuncovered.co.uk

drink cocktails,
consort with the gypseys,
go in the sea directly outside atlantis, (glass in the water)
go on the bungee ball (it snapped twice last year)
