Advantages: Great nightlife, Superb relaxation during the day

Disadvantages: U'll need about 2 weeks to recover

I went to Kavos in June 2002 with very anxious feelings. The place we were stayin at sounded like a dump, violence was supposed to be expected, sewages was apparently a nightmare and place wasn't as entertainin as first made out.
Still, I went out with the feelin that what ever happened I'd make sure I enjoyed it. And i certainly did!!!

Kavos exceeded my expectations and more.

Firstly the accomodation was ideal. We were staying in a small block of apartements called Georges Gardens. It was small, and basic but it was ideal. We were about 10mins walk away from the main busy high street so sleep was not a problem. We were positioned behind the back of a quiet bar which meant we could drink and eat with out travellin to far, plus a great place to kick your night off.

Kavos was two different places. During the day it was a amazingly relaxing place with plenty on offer (if u could actually be bothered) and in the night it came to life.

We were about 100m from the beach and every accomodation in kavos is less than 15mins walk from the beach. Plus an array of swimming pools, some open to all.
The main high street is littered with places to eat, bars and nightclubs. Prices are cheap and all the restaurants we went to provided good food.
The bars, during the day, were a superb spot for relaxation, with pool tables, internet comps, and latest films (not even releases in england) on show all day till about midnight.
And if chillin in a bar doesn't take ur fancy, u can relax by the pool or beach.
And if ur more of an active person, you can always take up watersports (eg jets, banana boat or rings), a booze cruise, trip to a quieter uninhibited island or a trip to corfu towns's quality water park. One of the largest in europe, and a quality day out. No matter how old you are, you'll have loads of fun in theis park.
Not to mention the local go-kart track, about 10 mins out of the main high street. A
t a cheap price, you get 20mins and its great laugh if you get all your mates on it.

Then we get to the nightlife, and believe me it is buzzing. There are more than a hundred bars and clubs linging the kavos high street. I went for 2 weeks and didn't manage to visit half of them.
From about midnight till the early hours in the morning, the place is absolutely kicking. You can't walk 10m without a rep from a bar tryin to drag you into their bar for 6 cocktails for the price of 1!! LOl! does get a bit annoyin but least ur not left hanging around for a drink, wastin valuable time.
Kavos nightlife is great, with a few recommendations for you: - Beetle Pub's beetlejuice
- Rocky's 88% killer
- Venue's great music
- Sex Club's foam parties

And forget the sewage problem, it only smells bad when it rains. And c'mon, that ain't gonna happen to often in the middle of a greek summer.
If your young and your up for a good time, u'll love kavos. and top RECOMMENDATION!!
