Ko Lanta

Ko Lanta lies in the Andaman sea off the south east coast of Thailand and is just over an hours ferry ride from Krabi. In an region with such a huge range of holiday destinations like Phuket, Ko Phi Phi and Krabi it seems that Ko Lanta (or more specifically Ko Lanta Yai - the main island in the Lanta group) comes off somewhat as a second rate destination.
