KosNewest Review: ... floor. After my first shower I realised this was needed because the whole of the floor gets flooded. The Anastasia aparthotel was situated on the outskirts of Kos town. It was just a short walk down into the town centre and the harbour. There are lots of bars and restaurants overlooking the harbour and along all the side streets. They serve Greek food and English food. The food is lovely and ... more |

------------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- Last year I went on holiday to the Greek island of Kos, which is in the Aegean sea and is just off the coast of Turkey. I went with one friend and we stayed at the Anastasia Aparthotel in Kos town, which is the capital of Kos. We booked our 7 night bed and breakfast holiday with the tour operator First Choice. For an extra £10 each we were able to pre book our seats on the flight from Birmingham which gauranteed that we sat together. We arrived in Kos at 4.30 in the morning so we couldn't really see alot when being transferred from the airport to our ... Read the complete review

Last year we had a family holiday in Kos. There were six of us my wife and I, her parents and our two grown up children. We booked well in advance we usually get a late deal but the travel agent gave us a big discount for booking early so we took it. In the beginning the wife and I wanted a week away like, next week. While we were waiting for one of the agents to become free we looked at the special offers where we found the holiday. The offer was so good that we went home to put it to the kids who jumped at it. We later mentioned it to the wife`s parents who also thought it was a great deal. So the next morning there we were in the travel agents. Hoping that ... Read the complete review

Here is my travelogue of when I spent a week away in the Greek Island of Kos with my two best friends, Amy and Joanna. Day 1 - Thursday, 28/6/01 Arrived in Greece at 5:15am in the morning. Went and watched the Sun come up with Jo, very beautiful. Had to go to a rep meeting at twelve (noon!) with a VERY enthusiastic rep. Not the thing one wants when one is feeling like a dead slug! Had a swim in the pool which was very cold, but that is what you want when it is so hot. Slept through most of the afternoon so I had no idea how hot it got! Had a very nice meal at a restaurant about two hundred yards from the apartments. While we were eating a man came ... Read the complete review

I went to Kefalos last July, the busiest week of the year. I went with Libra on a last minute and it was wonderful. The locals were amazing, the Sunlight Bar at the end of the resort was the best. Unfortunately we were burgled on our second day and had everything taken, dont beleive what they say about travellers cheques, we were told to go to Rhodes or Crete to replace them or pay £50 for a courier!! The locals fed us and kept the metaxa flowing until we could arrange for money to be sent. Bubbles beach is a great place to visit, take the bus and you have to climb a 'very' steep hill to get home, or from Kefalos, take the little greek mans speedboat for ... Read the complete review

I went to Kos in August ofr a relaxing break. I had just completed my first year of teaching and felt like I had done 10 rounds with Frank Bruno! I really wanted to relax on holiday- read, swim and eat! That was all I needed. The resort of Tingaki gave me so much more, including nudity! The first few days that I spent in Kos really flew by. After living in Manchester which is sponsored by Travis (Why does it always rain on me?) I was not used to the heat. It took a while to get used to the constant sunshine. I did laugh though as I had managed to sort out a regime: 9am - left the apartment for the beach 11.30 ish- leave the beach for a sleep ... Read the complete review
