KusadasiNewest Review: ... very Turkish and their tradition, but I would loathe this back home. Also in Kusadasi is the 'Ladies Beach'. When I first heard the name of this beach my first thought was obvious. My second was that is probably attracts more males than females. It is a very popular beach which looks beautiful in the night with plenty of fancy restaurants, bars and shops along the sea front. As with all ... more |

I've been to Turkey with my family three times previous to this visit to Kusadasi. Once to Chesme, once to Marmaris and Kusadasi again. I do not remember too much because I was very young but now I am eighteen I remember quite a lot about my final holiday with my parents. Kusadasi is situated on the South West coast of Turkey and is about an hour away from the nearest airport, although we travelled from a further airport two hours away in Bodrum. When we set foot off the plane after our three to four hour flight, for once we didn't notice the blaze of heat because it was 2am in Turkish time, two hours ahead of GMT. We stayed in a very nice five star hotel called the ... Read the complete review

i went here with my girlfriend for a long week and it couldnt have been so much different from our last holidays, this harbour town is a bustling and exotic city, markets and shops for any wannabe shopperholic and lots of exciting activites to keep you busy. we stayed at a family run B&B call edthe Hotel Villa Fortin which although basic was more then adequate for our needs, the family our really friendly and helpful when you have any difficultes, the room have air condition which is a godsend!although will cost a little extra but is worth it, breakfast was basic but filling and will get u going for the rest of the day. there is plenty to do around ... We spent a week in Kusadasi in a small family run BnB in the town centre.i have been to a few different cities in turkey and really recommend kusadasi! alot of cruise ships tend to stop over in the town for a day or two which means the prices sometimes go up, but tell them your staying in the town and the prices are more reasonable! After reading the lonely planet guide we were given the impression Kusadasi was a noisey, chav filled party town, which was not what we were looking for, however this was not the case at all! there is a row of night clubs but we were never bothered by any drunks or noisey clubs, it was rather peaceful :D We're so glad we went and ... There is a small store called WalMart (no relation to the US chain) near the port in Kusadasi that sells replica watches, glasses, etc. Granted you know that's what you're buying, and you wouldn't expect it to be genuine and last very long. There were about 4 of us that bought various items. Every single one of them broke within 4 months. Per the instruction from the guys at the store, we tried to call them several times, but the phone number that the gave us just kept ringing with no answer or voice mail. They made all sorts of guarantees to us about the products we bought. Every single thing we purchased from that store broke. We all felt taken advantage of and ... Read the complete review

Before my first trip to Turkey I was basing my expectation on stories of very forward locals and some generally unpleasant rumours.I could barely have been more wrong. As a group of 15 people, 21-22 years old, I can safely say for everyone that our holiday couldnt have gone better. We weren't looking for an Ibiza type holiday, and Kusadasi is perfect in that it offers good nightlife, cheap food and beautiful beaches, but allows you to relax and unwind without worry of hugely drunken tourists. The excursion boat trip was the highlight of the holiday, for around £11 we spent 8 hours in glorious sunshine with free drinks and food, topped off by dolphins racing ... Read the complete review
