Advantages: 10-15min to great beached and has lots of activites

Disadvantages: shop keepers can be a pain but keep your cool

i went here with my girlfriend for a long week and it couldnt have been so much different from our last holidays, this harbour town is a bustling and exotic city, markets and shops for any wannabe shopperholic and lots of exciting activites to keep you busy.
we stayed at a family run B&B call edthe Hotel Villa Fortin which although basic was more then adequate for our needs, the family our really friendly and helpful when you have any difficultes, the room have air condition which is a godsend!although will cost a little extra but is worth it, breakfast was basic but filling and will get u going for the rest of the day.
there is plenty to do around town either exploring the city or walling along the harbour, being with my girlfriend it wasnt long until we were in the markets and shops, to be honest i was a little worried about how much hassle we would get reading some of the previous reviews but this wasnt the case as long as you are firm and ignore the various tactics they use to stop you it isnt much of an issue.
we went on a couple of activites one was a half day trip to the nearby ruins of ephesus whis was great, the tour guide was ok but overhearing other tour guides i felt they were getting more information they we were!regardless it did help to have someone who knew what everything was in the ruins. The other activity was a boat tour which is pretty much a must thing to do whenever you are in Turkey, we had a good time jumping in the cold sea and tanning you up, lunch is also served on bored and was really tasty.
there are many beaches around Kusadasi we went to two ladies and Long beach both are great for sunning yourself and swimming in the sea, as well as that there are plenty of bars and snack arears if you're feeling peckish, my reccomendation is to go to long beach which is only 15min by bus from the main city but is less busy and crowded.
Now to nightlife from what some guidebooks state this is a bit of a party town which is not the case , sure there are plenty of bars to cater to those that want to but nor do they seem to take over the town, food is great and varied such as english, italian , indian and yes even turkish!entertainment is provided in some placed which livens up a meal but if you fancy a quite meal then there are plenty of those too, best go down side streets or go to where the locals go, i recomend a seafood cafe about the fish market on the docks which was a real find and the seafood is nearly 2-3 times cheaper then the ones served elsewhere and to be honest was much tastier. there can be a lot of pitching to get you in some restaurants but as long as you are firm and friendly they tend to not bother you much.
Kusadasi is a great place to visit i would say for no more then a week as you might have used up all the activities there is to see nearby, there are some further afield but they will take sometime to get there and i felt being on a bus for more the 4h was a bad way to spend a holiday. so yes go visit this great place and try the seafood cafe about the fish market i cant rave about it enough!

Summary: great place for a week

This could use a serious tidy! Loads of spelling mistakes, sentences that don't really make sense and it is somewhat a stream of consciousness as opposed to a review ;-)
