It is a famous saying in Pakistan that you are not born until you visit Lahore! Lahore is the capital of the province Punjab, Pakistan. It is one of the largest cities in Pakistan and with more and more people moving in; its population and boundaries are expanding day by day.

Lahore is known for its lively people. There are many things specific to Lahore, like basant, the kite flying festival celebrated in spring. People from all over the country drive down to Lahore and the sky is filled with colorful kites, the roof tops are packed with people dancing and flying kites while the kids can be seen running after falling kites in the street.

Another specialty of Lahore is the food street. Now even Islamabad and Karachi has food streets but nothing beats the one at Lahore. Lahore is also the center of Pakistan's film industry and for that reason, it's known as "Lollywood". Along with Karachi, it is also the heart of fashion in Pakistan, with designer's outlets and all, and now they are trying to arrange a fashion week.

Lahore was the first city in Pakistan to have McDonald's. Now, it's the city with the largest number of McDonald's in Pakistan. Lahore is also known for its economical shopping and variety of items, especially apparels.

So in short, because of its liveliness, Lahore is one hell of a city, especially for the young generation.
