God like status!! (Langkawi Island)

I recently went to Langkawi through an extra stop-over with my plane ticket. My mates recommended it to me, and boy were they right! The downpoint was that I was there on my own, but I made friends easily! I stayed in the main town on the island in the Langkawi Sea view hotel 3*, which was cracking, they gave me a free upgrade to the Delux room, which was kick-ass. The hotel staff helped me so much, sorting out what to do and where to go and all for £13 a night.
So what's there to do??
Firstly, travelling around the island is a joke it's SOOOOO cheap !! 45 mins drive about £4 But remember to barter!
1. Island hopping see the cool little islands surrounding Langkawi, There's a Lake with powers to make women pregnant if they swim in it (so they say!) and if you put food in the water, the fish come in their hundred to swim around your feet! And loads of monkeys about 1 metre away, You stop at another two islands but the first is the best!
2. Crocodile farm... loads of Crocs...BIG crocs, feeding, shows, very cool !!
3. Underwater world, knocks the UK versions out of the water (excuse the pun!)
4. Loads of beaches, all beautiful (people sweep the beach!!) Black sand ones as well, loads of water sports all CHEAP!!
5. Shopping,TAX FREE, there's bargains to be had but you've got to be able to spot the fakes, but if you can't nobody else will either !! Don't buy new trainers to go, buy them there, Nike for £35 usually £90 !!
6. Food, the seafood is devine!!! You can choose it straight from the tank!! Don't ask the locals though cos you'll always be directed to Mcdonalds ..Aaaaaargh I don't go half-way around the world to eat a Big Mac! Go to the little food courts they've got some wonderful dishes!
7. BEER... the booze is tax free but the bars are quite expensive, £1.20 a pint in comparison to 20p a can in the supermarket.
8. Hire a scooter if you want to have
more freedom and save taxi money, something stupid like £5 a day and you CANNOT get too lost, plus they're wicked fun.
9. If you like golf, Try the old course in the centre of the island it's the cheapest and loads of fun but play in the morning It's too hot otherwise!! Club hire's cheap but take Golf balls and tees as they're a bit of a rip-off and there is lots of water!
10. If you stay on the opposite side of the island in the resort area it's more foreigner orientated but you have to drive further to everything but the beach !!
11. Eagle square, Langkawi means redish-brown eagle, Big statue, free worth about 20mins!! the history park next to it is pathetic though don't waste your money!!
12. Climate, it's always hot, always..and very humid!! If you dislike that you'll suffer!! Shorts and t-shirts a must!!
13. Don't rush it, it's a slow paced place, just chill, it's that sort of place!

Long but hopefully worth it!!
