Advantages: Party city for adults.

Disadvantages: Not to everyone's liking!

Las Vegas is well known as an adult playground. However, it is not everybody's idea of a good time.

Located in the middle of a desert, in Nevada, USA, it takes a good while to get here if you are driving from somewhere else. The location makes it hot for most of the year, and summers can be extremely hot. There is very little rain.

The main activity here, is, of course, gambling. Therefore, if you do not have money to lose, you may not have a great time. A lot of the games have quite high minimum bets so you need to have some money in order to start playing.

Some of the casinos put some good shows on, but if it is windy then these will be cancelled. If you visit for three days, for example, and it is windy every night, then unfortunately you will miss out, as the shows are outside and usually involve water.

The other main activities are drinking and eating, and something that I will not mention on here, but which you can probably guess.

The restaurants are expensive, but the dining is fine, for sure.

The strip could be said to be ugly or beautiful, depending on how you like a city. It is certainly bright, and unlike any other place that I have personally been.

To be honest, I didn't like Las Vegas, but I do think it is nice to be able to see it. It's so famous and sometimes you just want to know what all of the fuss is about!

Summary: A place you might just have to visit for yourself...
