Advantages: Amazing, Atmospheric, Enormous Buildings, Full Of Fun, Loads To Do, Casinos

Disadvantages: Too Much To Do, It's Always Over Too Soon

Las Vegas is a large city, known shortly as 'Vegas' and as gambling central in the heart of the desert in Nevada of the USA. I went there quite a while ago and it was a trip of a lifetime. It's such a fabulous city, as said in the city's motto - Welcome to the fabulous Las Vegas.

The main strip is where it's all happening in Vegas but there is even more to it as well as the main strip. I stayed in The Luxor hotel, which was quite amazing. It's an enormous glass pyramid with towers beside it and a large Sphinx out the front. Hence, it's in the style of Egypt so the inside is quite magnificent too. In the main pyramid were shops, restaurants, an iMax theatre and even some sort of ride along with a huge casino and much more.

Every hotel in Vegas is special in it's own way. The Luxor had a powerful laser beam coming out the top, which is visible from space. The Excalibur hotel has a fabulous and somewhat mystical design. Then you have the MGM Grand, which is one of the biggest hotels in the world. Caesar's Palace is the most luxury hotel you will find in Vegas but they're all luxury anyway. Each hotel also hosts it's own shows and things happen outside. Caesars palace is fabulous to walk along inside as it creates an atmosphere as if it's raining or there's a storm and there is paintwork on the ceilings showing a sky along with gold everywhere and posh shops and cafes. The hotels are amazing and of course, they all have enormous casinos.

You must be 21 to gamble in Vegas. As I was young when we went there, I wasn't even allowed to walk through the Casinos in most hotels but some didn't mind if I was quick and didn't stop to have a look! They are quite strict about this. Some of the hotels are even connected by underground passages and bridges.

Vegas has a lot more to it including the M&M factory we visited, which was really fun. We also headed downtown to the all-famous Fremont Street. There was an amazing show on there with music and bright lights on the tunnel shaped roof above. It's an amazing experience and something I'll never forget. Also, Vegas is the key to the Grand Canyon as you can book trips from there. You usually get a helicopter ride from the airport, which is just at the end of the strip. It's great when you fly into Vegas as you can even spot the hotel you're staying at as they're all so big. It's an amazing city, the trip of a lifetime and I'd highly recommend it.

Thanks for reading,
