Lloret gets quite a bad press but I don't think that its bad as people make out. An advantage of it is that it's REALLY cheap to get out there, hotel accommodation is cheap and food and drinks are really cheap. This was the firs holiday I had ever been on, so we settled for Lloret seeing as our friens were going aswell. We stayed at the hotel aquariun it was a lovely hotel very clean. The resort itself is not up to much, there are all little shops up around on the main road, and you have to walk a little while into the town. Although there was a beach 5 mins walk down the road. I found it not up to much as far as the nightlife is concerned and not much to do. I think this holiday would be more suited for older couples or people looking to just relax. I did not think there was much there for kids either and found it to expensive ...  Read the complete review

I went here in July this year and I have to say was overall, disapointed. It was a nice place but it was very busy, and there were to many drunken youths. The beaches were very busy and quite breazy. We stayed in fanals beach, which was quiter, more serene and more fun. I would recommend that especially to familys, where its more quiter. The beach there was very nice, warm, although a little stoney. The weather however was disapointed, we could only sunbathe one day, we had two storms, severe gales, hail and heavy rain. I guess we were just unlucky though! ...  Read the complete review

I spent a week in Lloret at the beginning with July. It is about an hours drive from Barcelona on the north of the south coast of Spain. A few hours along the coast from Marseille. Although it lacks the charm shared by neighbouring Tossa de Mar it is a great place to holiday in. There are two lovely beaches with beautiful blue water, Fanals and Lloret. Both are fully lifeguarded and the water is clean, although the small pebbles on the beach are similar to those in a cats litter tray and parts of fanals beach bear resemblance to a huge ash tray! At Fanals beach there are various water sports. Sailing, parasailing, windsurfing and a banana boat. The ...  Read the complete review
