I went to Madagascar 2 years ago and lived out here for one month. If you are looking for a luxury holiday then I have to say Madagascar is not the place for you, however if you are interested in different cultures and are prepared to live semi rough for a while go there.
Madagascar has a really diverse range of wildlife, from the dry almost desert like Isalo national park to the luch rain forests of Ranomanfana national park. It is most famous for its diverse range of lemurs, but these are just the tip of the iceburg as there are so many beuatiful animals and plants to look at.
I would also recommend if possible staying with the locals, they are the most friendly people I think I have ever met. They have almost nothing, but will give you almost anything.
In conclusion I would say if you get a chance to go to Madagascar do because it is well worth a visit, I know it will stay in my min for ever.
