It's been a few years since I went to Majorca (actually, it's 6 years but whose counting??) but I really enjoyed it.

I'd booked an all inclusive holiday in Porto Colom through Going Places and I have to say it was excellent value. Although I was a bit reluctant about going to Majorca necause of it's reputation for being rather lively, I was looking for a nice quiet hotel where I could relax, do nothing and enjoy myself.

The hotel was really nice and close to the beach, which was about a 10 minute walk. The area itself is an old fishing village, so there's not many clubs in the town, but if it's a quiet holiday that you want then this is the place to go to.

Because it was an all inclusive holiday, I didn;t really go out of the hotel that much, other than to visit the Caves of Drach (well wortha visit if your going to Majorca).

Being on all inclusive basis is probably the only way that I'd go on a foreign holiday again now. Ally our food and drink is included, as in entertainment and hotel facilities. You cand rink yourself silly at the bar from 10:00am till Midnight, and between mealtimes there are snacks available from the hotel.

A lovely place where you can relax, but if you want to find something more lively it's only a short bus ride to the bigger towns nearby.
