Malia is a city on the island of Crete. Its a popular destination with the young crowd and provides similar experiences to that of the more well known Ibiza!

Having travelled there last year on a lads holiday I know first hand exactly what your getting out there!

First off only go for a week! Two weeks may sound pleasant but we did that and a couple of the guys were quite ill from excessive drinking and by 10 days I was getting bored with the same thing every night!
Basically in Malia there is not much to do other then party hard!

If you want to explore the rest of the island there are several travel companies that will arrange the trips for you all ranging in the 40 Euros mark. While I was there I did a boat cruise and went to both water parks!
Both are amazing so do not fear about the decision!

Malia is agreat night out. Drinks are cheap, the atmosphere is electric from 11pm right though till 6am! And there's always a beach party if you want more! The bars all offer you the same drinks at the same prices so find one with the most honest people! Be prepared for watered down drinks though! Some of the fishbowls are just fruit juice!!

Also ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS askk for no ice! The ice they use is frozen tap water and with the amount of quantity we were drinking seemed to be quite unhealthy- Specially on the fishbowls!

The holiday is a little one dimensional but perfect for party goers!

Couples, families, elderly look elsewhere! Even on the plane ride you could see them getting annoyed with the Malia crowd!
