Manila

Manila is not a great place to visit, I always recommend tourists to get in and get out as quickly as possible. It only becomes comfortable over time, the first few times I visited for a few days, I always seemed to get a cold from the smog. The traffic is as bad as anywhere I have been, going further than a few miles in rush hour is not advisable. There is a lot of poverty in the city, and it isn't a pretty sight for those not used to it. Seeing dirty young homeless children from your taxi window is alomost guaranteed, and when they knock at your window for some change, it isn't pleasant.
