My dad is from Mauritus & I've been there only 3 times in my whole life, I still don't understand what made him want to live in England. This is a perfect destination for a romantic holiday. Expensive...yes, exotic...yes, would i go there again...yes. Errmmmm? Theres so much to do, you can hire a car for your stay relativley cheap, food & living expenses are cheap, unless you are eating in a top hotel, then things can get a little pricy. You can go for a 1 hour trip on a glass-bottom boat around the island & go diving off waterfalls. There's loads of facilities for watersports, and I ORDER anyone going there to spend a few days on the island Ille aux cerf, 15 mins off the coast - it is a tiny island you can walk across it in 15 mins, it is the most beautiful place on earth - go there! - bset times to go are April - May & September & October - Only go in Jan & Decamber if you want to die of heat stroke its hot enough the rest of the year round. PS don't be put off when brochures tell you it's only 27c in april - it is sooooo humid that it feels like 40c.

You will love it.

PS bring loads of sun cream & mosquito plugs!!!
