Mendoza ... Argentina and Chile. It is a frequent stopover for climbers heading up Aconcagua (the highest mountain in the Western Hemisphere) or for other mountaineering, hiking, horseback riding, rafting, and outdoor activities. In the winter, skiers come to the city for its easy access to the Andes.

Premium Review Mendoza: Wine capital of Argentina (281 words)

The street plan is highly logical and resembles the typical Latin grid pattern. The people are warm and curious about all outsiders (particularly the British who they call the English like the yanks.) Argentinians sometimes call us the Pirates, but never to our faces. Anyway....back to Mendoza. This city was once part of Chilie, and Chilie seems to be taking advantage of the current ...  Read the complete review
