Member Name: russellweekes
Advantages: just got back a week ago Disadvantages: learn some spanish
Merida is in the northeast of the Yucatan peninsula, and is the best base for visiting the Uxmal Ruins, one of the important ruins of the Mayan Kingdom. Merida itself is a pretty town offering a glimpse into the real Mexico, with taco stands and ice cream sellers in the main square, overlooked by the cathedral in the spanish colonial style. Summary: an up to date glimpse into the real mexico |
