MiamiNewest Review: ... for £30 per room per night, and it had a bar, restaurant, and a small pool (a rarity for Miami hotels). ***Cocktails or a cup of hot coco?*** Miami is hot hot hot! Temperatures average at about 75-90 Fahrenheit (25-30 Celsius) year-round. The water is warm, refreshing and clear. Hurricane season is from August to November, and if you are visiting over the summer months, prepare for a short ... more |

I wanted to write about some place a bit special, something that has really made an impact on my life. Where else but Miami? I had always wanted to visit Miami having been particularly interested in the Art Deco district. As a 21st birthday present, my mum treated me, my boyfriend and my Aunt to a Caribbean cruise and a short pre-cruise stay in Miami. I was extremely excited, here’s why… ***Tell me about Miami*** Miami is a city within the Miami-Dade County in the American state of Florida on the Miami River between the Everglades and the Atlantic Ocean. Over the years Miami has become America's party capital, but dont let that give you nightmares visions and a city full of drunk kids and loud music. Sure, they are here, but Miami has many identities, and a real mixture of locals and visitors. First i'll rewind a bit, and tell you what Miami is physically. Miami is a city which stretches along the east coast of Florida, and has the inevitable urban sprawl to the west. However, only 100 yards or so offshore is a thin strip of ... Down town Miami is a sea of electrical shops for the South Americans who take home tax-free cheap sub standard cameras on mass. With a guarantee worth little when it falls apart in Buenos Aires. Key Biscayne to the south of Miami is the home to some great beaches and the Lipton Tennis tournament, it is an island so expect traffic backing up. Coral Gables is an up market area of the city where all the stars that live and work in Americas second movie city (The East coast Hollywood) eat and drink in relative privacy. The architecture here is very 20s-art deco as like most of the area, although its very exclusivity and wealth gives the place a ... Read the complete review
