The Mall is located near to the airport and has frequent shuttle buses and excellent parking. Camp snoopy right in the middle of the shopping centre will keep children (young and old) amused. Well worth a day. The downtown area of MPLS is pretty cool at night with some great bars, one in particular is know as the peanut bar, why because they server complimentary peanuts (still in the shells) and popcorn. I visit my girlfriend in Wisconsin and fly in to MPLS. However there is much more to MPLS than an airport hub city. It is home of the Mall of America, ok you have to want to shop and be prepared to walk and walk and walk but it is easily a cool day out, especially with MPLS being tax free on clothes.
