I recently visited the Jamaican Islands and found that this part of the world was like none other I'd ever visited. I stayed in Jamaica for two weeks and each day was great. I loved the basi atmosphere and the people around me and the golden beaches had a nice twinkle. I would have to say that if you've never visited this part of the Carribean you make plans to because everything in this island is like a paradise city and especially the traditional Jamaican food which is like no other. ... Montego Bay is Jamaica's second city and the tourist capital of Jamaica. It is also served by Jamaica's second major airport and most hotel and guesthouses are within a 20 minute drive of the airport. Montego Bay has many attractions both 'touristy' and otherwise. At Rosehall, which is about 20 mins from the city center, is a old sugar plantation which is said to be haunted by the ghost of a former owner, Annie Palmer. There are many beaches, all sparkling white sand. Scuba diving, snorkelling, jet ski-ing are all offered on most beaches here. Horseback riding is also offered and tours on horseback are offered everywhere. ... Read the complete review

I have been to Jamaica twice and loved it both times. It was very very hot-maybe August is NOT the best time to go!! It is truly an island paradise come true.In the photos you see of it, you wonder if the sky and the sea can really be THAT blue-they are in fact even more beautiful... The first time I went, I just did the normal 'touristy' things and not much else but enjoyed myself immensely. The second time, I ventured slightly off the beaten track and went to see some of the 'real' Jamaica, which was a wonderfull experience. There are so many things to see and do in Jamaica you will find your time just flies by, whether it's scuba ... Read the complete review

I experienced an excellent two week holiday just outside Montego Bay. The all-inclusive hotel, Sunset Beach Resort and Spa, was perfect. It had everything I was looking for: a good variety of excellent food, drinks, watersports and a large, well equiped spa and gym. It was exactly as described in the brochure and more. However, I foudn the city of Montego Bay less satisfying. Although it is arguable that the city was 'true Jamaica' I found that the tourist areas were just targets for the locals so hassle the holiday-makers, making their time shopping a harrowing experience. As a consequence of this, I spent far less money in Montego Bay than I would have ... Read the complete review

The best, Sunset Beach Hotel in Montego Bay really knows what an all-inclusive hotel is. Absolutely everything from watersports to the English Whiskey here was free cause in some all inclusives you have to pay extra for foreign alcoholic drinks and for extras such as snorkelling. There were four bars in the hotel which were all were shut from 2am-6.30am but the drinks machines were open all night where you could have a range of soft drinks. Food was available for everybody’s taste all day except the hours of 1am –6.30 am. In Jamaica it is a tradition to tip the bar staff but these bar men didn’t expect to be tipped and were always friendly. The ... Read the complete review
