Disadvantages: A bit specialist?

This is a super little site, if a bit specialist.

A true enthusiast runs it. He squirrels away just about anything to do with Mt.Everest and Nepal into a well laid out and very informative site.

There are pages of interesting and sometimes morbid facts about the mountain. Especially worth reading are the sections on Acute Mountain Sickness (altitude sickness). Another very good feature is the television schedule. This lists programmes with content about Everest, it?s a bit US orientated but useful nonetheless.

The sections on trekking and visiting Nepal generally are very good and informative. The hotel information appears to be updated monthly, so it?s worth a look if you intend to book a trip to Nepal.

There is an excellent section on expeditions with links to all the major expeditions? websites.

The site has quite an amateurish feel to it but I think this adds to its appeal. The quiz and crossword pages are an example of this approach.

There are some superb photographs of the Everest region, with more being added all the time. The site encourages those who have been to the region to write reviews on their trip. This adds an extra dooyooesque dimension.

The site is worth a visit if you have even an idle interest in Everest and Nepal.
