Advantages: Do you like gambling?, Las Vegas has allot of things to do
Disadvantages: Corrupt, Ugly, Everything
Nevada, which was taken from Mexico at the end of the Mexican/American war, and became a state during the American civil war, is most popular with tourists for Las Vegas, gambling, and many casinos. You will find gambling machines everywhere in the Nevada desert, and many cities focus on gambling. Personally, I hate Nevada, and I consider it one of the ugliest places that I have been to. It's not that I have a problem with the desert, but that I think that the state as a whole is ugly and depressing. The buildings and structures for the most part are dull and uninspired. It is also very hot in Nevada. Nevada is one of the most corrupt, and dangerous states in the union. Nevada is full of mobsters, drugs, among other corruption. Nevada is also one of the only states in the union where prostitution is legal. Places of interest: Las Vegas: City filled with bright lights, Elvis impersonators, casinos galore, museums, magic shows, and a few roller coasters. Las Vegas is more of a resort than an actual city, and is the place where people come to play. There is allot to do in Las Vegas, and you won't get bored. Each resort in Las Vegas has it's own theme, from the Egyptian pyramids to little Italy, you will find that Las Vegas is one big amusement park. During the day, the city is not nearly as pretty, as it does not hide behind those pretty lights. Behind that flashy exterior, there is a dark and corrupt world in Las Vegas. Overall, I think that you will have fun in Las Vegas, but you will find gambling machines more than anything else. Reno: A very toned down version of Las Vegas, without all of the lights. Again gambling is the focus. Hotels, and Casinos galore. Still it's an ugly city. Lake Tahoe: Located on the California\Nevada border, and popular for fishing, water skiing, and summer time hangouts. Carson City: The state's capital. There
are a few ghost towns in Nevada, and some old mining sites, so you might want to look into it. Conclusion: You might have fun in Nevada, but you have to admit that it leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Personally, I don't like to throw my money away in some gambling machine. I hate the state and all that it stands for. The place is over touristy, ugly, corrupt, and depressing. The place makes me sick
