The scenic city of Orebro is located on the western shores of Lake Hjalmaren approximately 200km from Stockholm. Not exactly on the tourist map, I nevertheless spent a highly enjoyable few days here while visiting a friend back in late-February. GETTING THERE I arrived at Orebro’s central railway station on a direct train from Stockholm’s Arlanda Airport. The journey time was just under two hours with the fare being a reasonable 160 Kr.
