Advantages: Shops, places to eat, great nightlife
Disadvantages: NA
Osnabruck, located in Germany is about 20 minutes away from Bremen airport. If you're looking to visit a traditional, German town then Osnabruck is definitely the place to go.
I lived here for about 2 years for my job, and i thought it was fascinating. The town is very cultural with lots of sight seeing facilities. The buildings are very architectural and look fascinating. It is quite a large town, host too many top brand shops, various places to eat and great night life.
For in the day you can visit the German markets, which sell lots of products such as Bratwursts and other famous German products. This is great for souvenirs so you can remember your visit. If you fancy a bit of shopping there are a few large centres as well as high street shops, all within walking distance of each other and selling probably most items you would look for.
There are many places to eat, ranging from Pizza Hut and MacDonald's to traditional German restaurants and cafes, which have great relaxing atmospheres.
If you fancy going out during the night there are plenty of bars, which sell home brewed beer as well as typical German beer, as well as lots of great night clubs open till very early in the morning.
Getting around Osnabruck is very easy with buses going to most parts of the town. But on the other hand most places you are likely to visit are within a reasonable walking distance too.
The local people are very friendly and a high percentage of them speak English, so its great to get to know people over there.
Accommodation can be found in most places with hotels and B&Bs within the town, these are also very traditional and a great thing to experience as they are a lot different from the UK.
I would recommend anyone to visit Osnabruck but I personally think its for people looking for a quite, relaxing break away from home in a fantastic environment.
I hope this review helps and thanks for reading
Summary: Recommend to anyone
