Palma is the capital of Mallorca and is a lovely, friendly, diverse, and beautiful city. There is plenty to do and see for all tastes and budgets. There is excellent shopping to be had from a large Zara and stores such as Mango and Camper to more upmarket shops such as Balenciagga and Lowe. There are even two El Cortes Ingles stores. If you don't fancy shopping, there is plenty of sightseeing. The royal palace is worth a look, as is the cathedral where there is often a solitary black swan. There are several great galleries, including Es Baluard museum of modern Spanish art, which features works from Picaso and Miro. There are countless ... Read the complete review

PALMA/PALMA NOVA If you have ever flown to Majorca you will have arrived at Palma airport, a large international airport situated on the outskirts of Palma city in the south of the island of Majorca. THE AIRPORT The airport is very large and modern, with lots of duty free shops and cafes situated in the main concourse after you pass through security. This is a very busy area, with long queues at the checkouts in the shops and for the toilets. To avoid this, continue towards the check in gates and you will find more shops which are not so busy. Also, if you can wait a few more minutes for the loos you will find these are quieter too once ... Read the complete review

I love Mallorca!!! I have been going there once to twice a year for the last 3 years and it never gets old! I have stayed in 2 different resorts. Palma Nova (on the south coast near Palma) and Alcudia (on the east coast). Personally Palma Nova was better, but not by much. The reason I keep going back to Mallorca is because it is the most beautiful place you have ever seen, the nightlife is superb and there is so much stuff to do! Scenery - The island of Mallorca is quite small, around 60miles across, but you really get some outstanding scenery. You see huge, steep mountains, smooth rolling hills, cliffs and lovely beaches. Nightlife - ... Read the complete review

Palma de Mallorca to give its official title is the capital of the Balearic Islands. It is a lively city and cosmopolitain with a population a little over 350,000 people. Getting to Palma could not be easier, the international airport is served by most major scheduled and charter airlines, it is reasonably cheap too!! There are also regular ferries to Peninsular Spain and the other Balearic Islands. Palma is a city of contrasts, the Passeo Maritimo is the main thoroughfare and links the port area to the Cathedral. This provides a pleasant sea view with lots of palms and garden areas together with cultural interest. In contrast the Via Cintura ... Read the complete review

I went to Santa Ponsa in Majorca a few years ago with my friends. We got a late deal from teletext for £99 - what a bargain!! As young girls, we were looking for lots of fun in the sun and plenty of partying - and we found it!! The nightlife was amazing with bars and clubs open til 6am! There were also plenty of transport available to take us to places all over the island including Magaluf - another lively resort!! The beeches were all extremely clean and there was plenty of activities, etc. for people of any age, whether you are looking for a singles holiday or couples or as a family holiday! I would definetely recommend it!! ... Read the complete review
