MY FAVOURITE GREEK ISLAND
First visited Paxos in 1999 and have been back nearly every year since, sometimes with my family, but on my own twice. It is such a safe welcoming place, that its great for women alone. No hassle or trouble.
I think Lakka is the prettiest village, with its sweeping bay, and assortment of beaches, great retaurants/grills and bars, plus a few shops.
I always book direct through Routsis holidays, run by George, who arrnges everything, they pick you up at Corfu airport, take you to the ferry and then on to your accomodation. Can't rate them highlly enough.
Paxos gets very busy in August, when many Italians visit. This is also the most expensive time. But in |May and september its great for those who like walking.
Visit the quaint capital Gaois, and take a boat to the sandy beaches of Anti Paxos (Paxos beaches are mainyl shingle)
