Advantages: Relaxing atmos, great food
Disadvantages: slightly isolated
My girlfriend and i have just returned from a two week break at the pefkos village hotel, located on the outskirts of pefkos in rhodes and loved every second of it.
Daytime things to do - In the daytime, pefkos really lends itself to those looking for a lazy holiday, spent by the pool or the beach, as their is little else to do in the main village/town. Although, in summer temperatures of somewhere between 30 and 40 at all times, thats all you want to do anyway.
We spent most of our time at our hotel by the pool and had a lovely relaxing holiday, so it certainly ticks all the boxes for that.
We often strolled into the town for a spot of lunch though and there is an abundance of options for you from just a quick baguette and chips to a full blown moussaka. The restaurant options really are endless.
At night - At night we chose to walk into town on every single night; having spent most of the day by the hotel it was good to get in amongst it all againt.
We ate out for 13 nights at a different restaurant every single night and did not have a bad meal, it also had excellent value for money, with a 3 course meal and wine coming to about 20 euros each maximum.
After we had finished eating we headed to one of the local bars where, once again, value is brilliant. I was drinking pints at 1euro 90 and my girlfriend was on 500ml caraffs of wine at just 5euros a go. It was very easy to have a "good" night!!!
The only disadvantage is that there can be limited options if you dont have a car and want to do something other than chill in the day, saying that, car hire is relatively cheap and there are plenty of other places to head too, such as rhodes town or lindos.
Summary: A great location for a relaxing hols
