Pigeon ForgeNewest Review: ... I?m not a fan of Bluegrass music, which is a lot like country without the whiney lyrics of trucks getting a flat, dogs dying , and wives running of with the guitar boy!! (If you?ve ever seen the movie ?O, Brother Where Art Thou?, it?s the music like that.) Dollywood, what a day out that is! I am currently in the States again and took a trip to Dollywood. What a great day out. I have been to a lot of the theme parks in UK, and okay, they may have more and faster rides, and so on, but in terms of atmosphere and imagination, none of them come close to Dollywood. Starting early on in the season this village comes alive when more than 6 million lights line the streets and Dollywood. There are so many theatres with special shows (like Louise Mandrell from the Mandrell sisters) every night is different. From bluegrass, gospel, old time rock and roll and more. We were there for the Grand Tennessee Craft Fair and it was brilliant with all kind of unusual home crafts for sale. There are no licensed pubs or restaurants here as the ban from prohibition has never been ... Read the complete review
