I went to Portugal on holiday this year with my wife and two children. I liked the country very much. Out of all the holidays i have been on i think the portugease are some of the freindliest and most helpfull people i have come accross. We stayed in a small resort called Fellisia which was a 20 minute drive from Albuferia. The food was great and very high quality, there was also a great deal of choice and they werent to pushy about getting you into restaurants or shops. The public transport was quite cheap and the busses were very regular. One of the nicest things about the area was how clean everything was, i have found in the past ... Read the complete review

My hubby and I grabbed a last minute deal to Portugal back in April of this year and found the Algarve area really relaxing and friendly. We stayed in Albufeira which was the largest resort and very popular with the tourists. It had an area known as the strip which to me was very much like Blackpool great to have a quick look around but not very relaxing because it was full of bars and overpriced tacky shops. It a has a long shore and our history is building almostely on the great findings that portuguese navigators had made centuries ago, i must say that Portugal still lives in that glory of ... Portugal, the country of navigators and that gave new worlds to the world. Has a country of sailors, one of the most beautiful things in this country are the beaches and ocean coast, but far from being the only important places. Main cities Lisbon - The capital of the country. If you want stores this is the place to go, there very few things in can?t buy in this city. Also, for museum lovers this is a great place with expositions about everything, from weapons to paintings and there is also a ocean centre and an aquarium. Monuments also abound around here, from the the castle of St. Jorge, that ... Read the complete review

This is not so much a holiday resort opinion but my opinion on Portugal. My husband is in the forces and one of our lucky experiences is we are living in Portugal,I would like to share this experience with you and maybe one day you may come here.If you are thinking of coming out here there are flights from most English airports i.e Heathrow,Stanstead and I believe Gatwick.Flights are normally around 2 and a half hours long. There are also holidays to Portugal through most travel agents.I live not far from Lisbon in a place called Bicesse, before moving to Bicesse we lived in a place named Estoril, which has lovely beaches and during the months of June and September has a ...
