Praia da Luz

Praia da Luz is a lovely little village just on the outskirts of Lagos. It is a bit off the beaten track and away from the more lively spots in the Algarve. The first thing we spotted about Luz was the narrow cobbled roads – locals come flying up and down them and tremendous speeds but I found myself sitting at a lowly 20 or 30 km/hr (no wonder everyone kept over taking me!!) so that I wouldn’t bump parked cars or anything. Praira Da Luz A 50 minute drive from Faro and 10 minutes from Lagos, brings you into Praira Da Luz. Not yet developed by tourism, Luz is the ideal get away, if you really do want to get away. There isn't a lot happening, no magnificent golf courses or 5* hotels, but the location is ideal for travelling around the western Algarve.
