Advantages: Whale watching, interesting history & people

Disadvantages: off the beaten track

Provincetown or P-Town as it is known to the locals is situated at the very tip of Cape Cod in Massachusetts. Like Key West, Florida & Ogunquit, Maine the town is a popular destination for gay and lesbian tourists.

The town has a significant amount of history and is well known for its writers and artists.

The town has plenty of shopping, restaurants, bars, clubs & cafes.

The best place to stay in town has to be The Oxford. The guest house has been voted number one on TripAdvisor and definitely lives up to its reputation.

The Dolphin Fleet Whale Watch is a must do when visiting. They guarantee whale sightings or a free trip. The staff on board are knowledgeable and experienced in their field and are committed to promoting esponsible whale watching.

Arts Dune tours is another must, take a tour across the sands learning the history of the town and the famous dune shacks where artists and writers resided.

Although Provincetown is slightly off the beaten track, it definitely should be on your 'must do' list

Summary: A must for your Must Do list
