Sosua Puerto Plata
A great place to go for adults & children. Unlike some resorts in Puerto Plata Sosua is one where you can leave the complex & be safe. Although always be aware of your personal belongings & money ! We stay at Casa Marina Beach/Reef which whilst it has its own beach's. For the sake of a 10 min walk you can be on the stunning beach of Sosua. A stunning beach wihich people from around the island travel to for snorkelling and the market!
The market runs the length of the beach but if you just want to spend the day on the beach the market will not interfer with your enjoyment. Plenty of sunbeds for hire but haggle the price they will try to rip you off so haggle and keep haggling the price down. The sea is stunning and clear and safe for children. Sundays the beach gets packed with locals and they have dance offs which is fun to see but keep your belongings close.
Sosua is also a great base if you want o go on trips Monster truck is a good fun day out visiting a local school and afrm which is a real eye opener !! Cayo parisio is another good one for snorkelling a small patch of pure white sand it is stunning but not ideal for children
Not forgetting ocean world which is excellent value for money which we enjoyed more than discovery cove in florida
