I went to America once. It is kinda of a long story. But why would anyone want to go to America? The people are all fat, stupid, they smell of vinegar soaked polyester, they drive big old stupid cars that are loud and blow smoke and they watch all sorts of historically innaccurate Mel Gibson films that they endlessly want to discuss when it their pedantic flashes of worldliness detact an accent from Britain. All the Americans have are a handful of violent cities and even their national parks which they esteem as being so fantastic are generally mountains, a huge hole, or a bunch of old trees that they manage to burn down every couple of years. Gambling, nightclubs, skiing, sailing. Reno has it all very close at hand. Reno is on the border of California and Nevada. The two states could not more more different. California is very strict,you can't smoke in a public bar and there are no casinos. In Nevada though anything goes. The first buildings on both sides of the road over the Nevada border are towering casinos. If you go off season there is plenty of cheap hotel accomodation, so you can avoid the sleazy motels which abound here. Reno is always busy with people from Sacremento and San Francisco.
