Relax.....its peaceful (Rhodos)

Advantages: Great place, and so hot

Disadvantages: Lindos is like a furnace in the day

I stayed in rhodes in 1999, i was in a lovely hotel / apartment block in the tiny town of Pefkos, just outside Lindos. We had a smashing time, the weather was relentless heat, but thanks to being next to the sea we always had a slight breeze to cool in, and we got great tans! Our apartments were called Sunrise Apartments and they are the best foreign accomodation I have ever stayed in, all the rooms were air conditioned and spacious, the terrace was huge and sun soaked, the pool was clean and well maintained, with a separate pol for children. There was a taverna on site where you could get a bito to eat, and the food was good, and then at night there was Gregs Bar, still on site a small wooden pagoda housed a fine array of cocktails and a madcap barman called Grigoris (Greg) His humour and friendliness was terrific, and we ended up there most nights. In the day we went into lindos, which had a good selection of shops and things to see, including the acropolis, and then we got to go scuba diving (but this was a rep organised extra) up near rhodes town. I enjoyed this holiday so much that we are going back to see Greg in summer 2001, i would reccomend it to anyone looking fpor a peaceful, relaxing holiday.
