After hearing many peoples opinions on Lindos we looked forward to going this year - never again.
We went with Golden Sun & stayed at the Adams studios, we have never stayed in such a basic room in our lives. Everything was dirty & after going to Spain,Turkey & even other Greek Islands,Lindos was an eye opener.
The rooms were infested with insects & the maids cleaning took about a minute !! We spoke to other people staying in Lindos in other studios & they swore never to return.
The 'main' beach in Lindos was very nice & great for the kid's but it got very busy with day trippers. The water was also quite dirty & you could see the oil from the many boats on the surface of the water. There was also another beach,'St Pauls bay', which was quieter but was quite rockey but good to get away from the masses.
Lindos was very expensive & about the same price as back home for food & drink, although the quality of some of the food was rubbish. We found a excellent Greek taverna near the top car park, Agustinos, which served outstanding food & good service. There was also a good Italian on the way to St Pauls bay.
Our favourate bar was Georgios in the centre of Lindos which played good music & the owner & staff were so friendly,we went there every night.
We found the Lindian people very greedy on the whole & please do not think that all Greek people are like this as they are so different on other Islands. We booked a trip to Symi at Pallas travel & saw the same trip 15 euros cheaper around the corner so shop around, Pallas travel would not return our money. Back to Turkey next year !!
