Newest Review: ... 5'4". The average Dutch teenager is 6' or over...I felt tiny!! Also in Rotterdam there are some very parculiar statues of modern art, such as cars hanging over buildings, and trains coming out of the floor!! Very unusual, but interesting to look at. Everyone gets about on pushbikes as the land is so flat, not a hill in sight. My dad gets out of breath when he comes over to England because of the hills!! All in all great for a day visit, but Amsterdam is certainly the place to go for all the fun and action! ... more

My dad lives in Rotterdam and have also lived there for a couple of years when I was very young. I wouldn't recommend it as a place that you would go for a holiday as it is very industrialised. However, there are many high rised buildings and sky scrapers so any concerts held there are amazing. I went to concert there a few years ago and they used the buildings to project lazer images on and it was fantastic. The only disadvantage was I had to stand on a box as I am only 5'4".
